Yes, my fabulous Chocolate Chip Shortbread recipe is being featured today over on Romance Cooks. Head on over to take a look at all the fantastic recipes authors have shared: http://www.romancecooks.com/
Also, in somewhat related news, I will have a recipe in the All Romance eBooks Passionate Cooks free recipe book, out in October sometime. I’ll pass on a download link when I get one.
It’s great to share recipes–I hope some of you make the shortbread. Daisy and I make a batch every week and they’re absolutely delicious
As if I’m not fat enough already! (Ok, so I’ll listen to Gok and be proud of my curves….) Yummy! I’ll try them out.
Umm… What’s rolled oats? We have regular oats and the kind that has been pre-swelled (so that you can eat them as sereal)
They’re what you make porridge with. I think the grain is flattened between rollers and it comes out in sort of roundish flakes. You can see them here http://withfriendship.com/user/crook/rolled-oats.php
You can use them in flapjacks and date slice mmmm. Much better that porridge
Oh, agreed–I’d much rather have a flapjack or date slice than a bowl of mushy, lumpy porridge!
OH that looks like a DELICIOUS recipe
And I love reading your posts even more now because I can hear you speaking them in my head
Awww! I can hear you too now
It’s always such a surprise, hearing an online friend’s voice for the first time–and in your case, getting to see what you look like at long last! Lovely to finally meet you properly, hon
Hope you had a wonderful time at the Meet!!
It was fabulous, thanks! I really did enjoy myself, and everything seemed to go without a hitch as well. What a great atmosphere and a lovely bunch of people
Hope you had loads of fun at the meet! Thanks for the receipe. The cookies look scrumptious!
Thanks, Prue–I’ve had a wonderful weekend
And yes, the shortbread is delicious. I’m making some more as soon as I get home again!
Thanks Jo! those are the ones we call “big” up here. I’m ready to go! Rebekka says they sound delicious. Do you want my recipe for choc chip cookies with brown sugar? You kan keep the dough in the fridge and just bake a few at a time and serve them smoking HOT!
(Just a few days left now….hot, hot, hot!)
Ooh, I’d love your recipe, please!
And yes, just a few days. ARRRGH! So much to do, but so exciting
