Today, Jamie Merrow and I are discussing denial and all the problems it can cause over on Amara’s blog, Mamba’s Lair, today. Leave a comment to be entered in for a chance to win a choice from both our backlists, and a chance at the grand prize (details here).

And just in case you missed it, buried in the post about The Hot Floor yesterday, here’s a link to the post about Bad Boys vs. Good Boys over on Tam’s blog:

That’s all for now, folks! I’m trying not to obsess about my Amazon rankings and failing abjectly. Ah well. At least I’ve nearly cleared my inbox backlog at long last.
I’m officially off when it comes to both hot and pressure!
No, seriously Jo, The Hot Floor? Besides making me want to take up the glass- blowing profession (so that I can make glass owls for my daughter) it was of volcanic proportions. I’m starting to be a bit inured when it comes to the smexy stuff in M/M romance but this? Made me melt through the floor. And no, it wasn’t dry rot that did it! Way to go!
I’ll be writing a rambling review soon, I just have to catch my breath first. *wipes forehead on an already soaked sleeve*
Yay! So glad you enjoyed it! I couldn’t believe some of the stuff that was coming out onto the page. Had a fair few “did I really just write that filth?” moments, I can tell you. God, I hope my mum never reads it XD
I was really surprised by the armpit duo. OMG. How did you ever come up with that?! And here I thought I had a good imagination. *smirks gleefully*
And I love the whole owl-theme. Rebekka is crazy about owls. I think she has about fifteen pairs of owl earrings not to mention owl rings, owl pendants, owl lamp, owl Christmas ornaments, owl pillows and so on and so forth.
My friend Nina has that macrame owl from the seventies hanging on the wall. Without the glasses but still….It made me visualize the menfolk doing the naughty in her living room. A fact i’m not ever going to share with her!
I have a friend who’s crazy about owls and all things retro, so I think I must have been inspired by her. If I ever see a genuine 70s macrame owl in a charity shop, I’m buying it for her!
And I’m not sure about the armpit thing, but I love frottage scenes and I don’t think the armpits are eroticised enough in m/m. Or the feet, but that’s another story
Frottage is hot! And there’s far too little of it in M/M. Not sure about armpits though……*giggles*
