Screwing the System–blurb and cover art unveiled!

At last, I’m able to share with you Lou Harper’s gorgeous cover art for my next novel, out from Samhain on 12th February 2013:

Screwing the System cover

It’s Cosmo! Isn’t he gorgeous? I was so excited when I found this picture, but didn’t think Lou would be able to use it as it was in black and white. You’d never believe it now, though :D

And I have more to share, which is the wonderful finished blurb, which Samhain have waved their magic wand over and transformed:

He’s nobody’s bitch. Until he gets a ride on the bitch seat.

Forced to apply for a job he doesn’t want, Cosmo Rawlins has only one aim in mind: fail the interview and get back to making music. Except his attempt to shock the older, sharp-suited Alasdair Grant doesn’t have the desired effect.

Instead of getting thrown out of the office by flaunting an interest in BDSM, Cosmo finds himself on his knees, apologizing to the sexy, good-looking Top.

Alasdair has more important things on his mind than training a novice sub, especially a rebellious bad boy like Cosmo. But there’s something beneath the younger man’s defiant attitude that’s too intriguing to ignore.

As Alasdair takes Cosmo in hand—and for a wild ride on his Harley—he becomes obsessed with bending the young rocker to his will, both in and out of bed. Until he goes one demand too far, and Cosmo is gone in a cloud of dust. Forcing Alasdair to admit that earning Cosmo’s loyalty—and love—will involve the toughest challenge he’s ever faced.

Warning: This title contains an overbearing Top with a less-than-glamorous job, a rebellious brat who refuses to call him sir, and a total lack of high-end BDSM clubs or playrooms. Expect floggings over the kitchen table instead.

Right. I have edits to be working on now. I’m really looking forward to reading through the whole story again, though. Cosmo and Alasdair are a great pair :D

  1. I absolutely LOVE it! Both cover and blurb. And once again I have to wait ages…….but it is so worth it! I think I have forgotten to thank you for The Hot Floor. Thank you Jo. You’re wonderful.

    • Aww, thanks Cathy! And really, it’s not that far away. The months seem to be flying by this year. Or maybe that’s just to me…

  2. Wow! Those eyes are amazing. Now I’m wondering if they really look like that, or if it’s because the photo was originally in black and white. But what does it matter when they make your cover look so amazing? The cover for The Hot Floor was a hard act to follow, but I think you’ve done it.

    • Who knows what colour eyes the model has, but I’m thinking dark because he has a Mediterranean look about him. And really, Lou Harper should take all the credit because she designed both this one and The Hot Floor. I have talented friends :D

    • Agreed. It was the expression more than anything that made me want this guy for Cosmo. There’s both challenge and vulnerablity there. I even wrote in the scruffy attempt at a beard after seeing this.
