When woodland spirit Mirabelle falls in love with lonely artist Jay, their relationship is limited by her inability to touch or speak to him, no matter how much she yearns to. Realising that Jay needs human company, Mirabelle sets out to find Jay a friend in the form of hippy woodworker Will. However, when the two men hit it off rather too well, she feels left out of their passionate encounters, and the only way to join them entails paying a heavy price.

Jay was looking everywhere but at Will, although as soon as Will got up and crouched by the fire, Jay’s gaze roamed over him again. He lingered lovingly on Will’s buttocks, where the fabric of his trousers strained taut. That was how he looked at me! That was longing. I wondered if Will could sense the heat of Jay’s gaze against his skin, warming his back just as the fire warmed his front.

I laughed, overcome with how simple this was going to be. Jay would have a lover and friend all wrapped up together. He would be happy, and I would be treated to the sight of two beautiful men moving together in the dance of love. Giggling merrily, I blew kisses to both of them, aiming not at their lips but between their legs.

Both men shifted uneasily. Will twisted around to hand the enamel mug to Jay before taking a circuitous route around the fire and sitting down on the log. I realized with delight that my kiss had made him hard, and he was trying to conceal this. I blew kisses again, seeking those same spots.

Jay groaned, a sound I recognized from our times in bed. “Good tea,” he blurted out.

“You haven’t tried it yet,” Will said with a chuckle.

“No, but, ah… I can smell it,” Jay put the cup down with shaking hands, spilling some over his knuckles. “Shit! That’s hot.”

“Here, let me.” Will took hold of Jay’s hand gently. “Was it these ones?” he asked, pointing to the first two fingers. Jay nodded. “You know, saliva is one of nature’s most useful substances, and excellent for healing scalds. You want me to apply some for you?” His eyes gleamed with mischief as his tongue flicked out to lick his lips.

“Uh, okay.” Jay’s startled eyes grew even wider when Will brought those two fingers to his mouth and licked the scalded skin, then closed his mouth around them and sucked gently. I watched the way his cheeks hollowed and his jaw moved, while all the time his eyes were fixed on Jay. Jay, who was now breathing heavily, bliss touching him with a radiant beauty. He moaned softly as Will released him.

“Oh, you liked that, did you?” Will asked, and after a tentative nod in response, he reached out to cup Jay’s smoothly shaven jaw and move in for a kiss.
